BuyerCheck vs Subunofor Shopify (2026)
BuyerCheck and Subuno are both Shopify apps in the 'Fraud' category, aiming to protect merchants from financial losses. However, they address different types of fraud and offer distinct feature sets. BuyerCheck focuses specifically on mitigating losses from failed Cash-on-Delivery (COD) orders, leveraging AI to predict buyer risk at the checkout. This positions it as a solution for merchants heavily reliant on COD and facing significant COD-related losses. Subuno, on the other hand, is a broader fraud prevention platform concentrating on credit card fraud and chargebacks. It provides customizable rules, automated fraud checks, and manual review tools to screen orders for suspicious activity. The primary distinction lies in the type of fraud each app targets. BuyerCheck offers a niche solution for COD fraud using an AI-driven risk assessment, while Subuno provides a more comprehensive suite of tools for combating credit card fraud through rules-based automation and data analytics. The lack of reviews for BuyerCheck also makes it difficult to assess its real-world performance, whereas Subuno's perfect rating suggests initial user satisfaction. Determining the best fit depends heavily on the merchant's specific fraud concerns; if COD fraud is the main issue, BuyerCheck is relevant, but for broader credit card fraud protection, Subuno appears to be the more mature and tested option.

Our Verdict
Given the current data, Subuno appears to be a more reliable choice due to its positive reviews and established features for preventing credit card fraud. It offers a comprehensive suite of tools for automation and manual review, catering to merchants concerned about chargebacks and fraudulent transactions. BuyerCheck, while potentially valuable for merchants with significant COD fraud problems, carries a higher risk due to the complete absence of user reviews. Its AI-driven approach might be innovative, but without validation from other users, it's difficult to assess its effectiveness.
If a merchant's primary concern is mitigating losses specifically from failed COD orders, BuyerCheck warrants further investigation *if* reviews become available and demonstrate its reliability. Otherwise, Subuno, with its proven track record (albeit limited), provides a more robust and dependable solution for overall fraud prevention.
