BuyerCheck vs Token of Trust Verificationfor Shopify (2026)
BuyerCheck and Token of Trust Verification are both Shopify apps targeting fraud prevention, but they address distinct aspects of the problem and cater to different merchant needs. Our Verdict
The choice between BuyerCheck and Token of Trust Verification depends heavily on the specific needs of the Shopify merchant. If a merchant experiences significant losses due to failed COD orders, BuyerCheck is the more suitable option. Its AI-driven risk assessment and ability to automatically disable COD for risky customers can significantly reduce financial losses. However, the lack of reviews is a significant risk. On the other hand, if a merchant sells age-restricted products and needs to comply with age verification requirements, Token of Trust Verification is the clear choice. Its customer verification tools, rule-based triggers, and automation features make it easier to meet compliance mandates and ensure responsible sales of age-restricted items. While only 4 reviews, a 5/5 rating does suggest a positive early user experience.
