BWS Content Scheduler vs Product Plusfor Shopify (2026)
BWS Content Scheduler and Product Plus are both Shopify apps in the 'Content - Other' category, but they cater to vastly different merchant needs. BWS Content Scheduler focuses on automating content updates across various areas of a Shopify store, including banners, announcements, products, and blog posts. Its strength lies in scheduling and automating site updates, making it ideal for managing promotional campaigns or seasonal content changes without manual intervention. It directly addresses the pain point of making updates during off-peak hours. In contrast, Product Plus emphasizes product customization by enabling merchants to add unlimited input fields to product pages, allowing customers to provide specific details and personalize their orders. Product Plus is geared towards businesses that offer customizable products or require specific information from customers before fulfillment. It aims to enhance the customer experience by providing a more personalized shopping journey. While BWS Content Scheduler focuses on time-saving automation for the merchant, Product Plus prioritizes gathering customer-specific data to improve order accuracy and customer satisfaction. Both apps boast ease of use, requiring no coding skills, but their value propositions diverge significantly, targeting different aspects of Shopify store management.

Our Verdict
The choice between BWS Content Scheduler and Product Plus hinges on the specific needs of the Shopify merchant. If the merchant frequently runs sales events, updates banners and announcements, or manages a blog, BWS Content Scheduler is the superior choice due to its content automation capabilities. This is further supported by the larger number of reviews suggesting more widespread adoption. On the other hand, if the merchant sells customizable products or requires specific information from customers for order fulfillment, Product Plus is the more suitable option. Its ability to add unlimited input fields to product pages provides a critical tool for gathering necessary data.
In a scenario where a merchant wants to sell personalized mugs with customer-provided names, Product Plus would be essential. Conversely, if a merchant wants to schedule a banner change for Black Friday, BWS Content Scheduler would be the preferred solution. Without a clear need for product customization, BWS Content Scheduler's broader application and stronger social proof might make it a generally safer initial investment, especially considering its focus on automating common store tasks.
