Byte Lookbook & Shop The Look vs EVM Youtube Video Galleryfor Shopify (2026)
Byte Lookbook & Shop The Look and EVM Youtube Video Gallery both fall under the 'Images and Media' category on Shopify, but they address very different needs. Byte Lookbook focuses on visually merchandising products through lookbooks and shoppable images to increase average order value (AOV). It aims to create a seamless shopping experience by offering curated bundles and recommended products directly within image galleries and carousels. Its strength lies in its focus on product discovery and upselling within the existing visual content of a store. EVM Youtube Video Gallery, on the other hand, specializes in incorporating video content from Youtube and Vimeo. Its primary goal is to allow merchants to easily create video galleries and sliders to share product information and enhance visual storytelling. This app targets merchants who heavily rely on video marketing and want to embed their existing video content directly onto their Shopify store. While both apps enhance visual presentation, one is product-centric, and the other is video-centric.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing visually showcasing product combinations and driving upselling through shoppable images, Byte Lookbook & Shop The Look is the superior choice. The higher rating and significantly more reviews suggest a more robust and well-received solution for creating engaging product lookbooks.
However, if a merchant's primary focus is leveraging video content to educate customers, demonstrate product usage, or provide more in-depth information, EVM Youtube Video Gallery is the better option. While its rating is slightly lower and has fewer reviews, it directly addresses the need for easy integration of Youtube and Vimeo videos into the Shopify store. It’s suitable for merchants with existing video marketing strategies or those who see video as a key component of their customer engagement.
