C: Easy Lock vs HOOK Social Loginfor Shopify (2026)
C: Easy Lock and HOOK Social Login, while both falling under the 'Accounts and login' category on Shopify, address fundamentally different needs for online store owners. C: Easy Lock focuses on access control and content restriction. It aims to give merchants granular control over who sees which parts of their store based on login status, customer tags, or specific user selection. Its value proposition lies in creating exclusivity or segmented customer experiences by locking down specific products, collections, or pages. HOOK Social Login, on the other hand, prioritizes user experience and streamlined registration. It seeks to simplify the login process for customers by allowing them to use existing social media accounts. This aims to reduce friction, improve conversion rates, and gather customer data through verified social profiles. The stark difference in ratings and review counts reflects the market's reception to these apps. HOOK Social Login has a perfect 5/5 rating with 24 reviews, suggesting high user satisfaction and a well-established app. Conversely, C: Easy Lock has no ratings or reviews, indicating it's either very new, underperforming, or facing significant usability issues. Choosing between these apps depends heavily on the merchant's primary goal: enhancing security and content control with C: Easy Lock, or improving user experience and sign-up rates with HOOK Social Login.

Our Verdict
For merchants who need to control access to specific content, create exclusive product releases, or offer membership benefits, C: Easy Lock might seem relevant. However, the lack of reviews is a serious red flag. Until C: Easy Lock demonstrates its value and ease of use, it's a risky choice. HOOK Social Login is the better choice for the majority of Shopify merchants. By streamlining the login process with social media accounts, HOOK Social Login reduces friction for new customers, increases conversion rates, and provides merchants with more accurate customer data. It is especially beneficial for stores seeking to minimize cart abandonment due to lengthy registration forms.
Given its proven track record (5/5 rating and 24 reviews), user-friendly design, and clear value proposition of improving user experience, HOOK Social Login is the stronger recommendation for most Shopify merchants seeking to enhance their login process.
