Camouflage: Hide Sold Variants vs Customily Product Personalizerfor Shopify (2026)
Camouflage: Hide Sold Variants and Customily Product Personalizer, while both listed in the 'Custom products' category on the Shopify App Store, address fundamentally different needs. Camouflage focuses on improving the customer experience by managing the visibility of product variants based on their availability. It aims to reduce customer frustration by hiding or styling sold-out options. Its strength lies in its granular control over variant visibility, using rules based on inventory, location, and customer segments. Customily, on the other hand, targets merchants selling customizable or print-on-demand products. It offers a comprehensive suite of tools for allowing customers to personalize products in real-time with live previews. The app automates the process of generating print-ready files and integrates with print-on-demand providers, streamlining fulfillment. Customily's value proposition is enabling merchants to offer highly personalized products at scale, increasing sales and reducing manual effort. While both could technically be used on custom products, Camouflage improves user experience while Customily creates the product itself.
