Camouflage: Hide Sold Variants vs EZ Add Custom Fontfor Shopify (2026)
Camouflage: Hide Sold Variants and EZ Add Custom Font, while both receiving perfect 5/5 ratings, serve entirely different purposes for Shopify merchants in 2026. Camouflage is a utility app focused on enhancing the customer experience by intelligently managing product variant visibility based on inventory and other conditions. It targets merchants who want to avoid customer frustration caused by sold-out items and provides granular control over variant display based on criteria such as inventory levels, location, and customer tags. In contrast, EZ Add Custom Font seems to be a design-focused app, albeit with very limited user reviews, presumably enabling merchants to customize the visual appeal of their store by incorporating unique fonts.

Our Verdict
The choice between Camouflage: Hide Sold Variants and EZ Add Custom Font depends entirely on the merchant's priorities. If a merchant is struggling with customer frustration due to visible, unavailable product variants and seeks to optimize the buying experience, Camouflage is the clear choice. Its robust features for hiding and styling variants based on diverse conditions offer significant value. However, if a merchant is focused on enhancing their store's visual appeal and brand identity through custom fonts, and is comfortable with a potentially less-proven app (given the limited reviews), EZ Add Custom Font might be considered, pending further investigation and user testimonials. Due to the vast difference in review count and feature scope, Camouflage appears to be the more mature and actively used solution.
