Camouflage: Hide Sold Variants vs Follow Up ‑ Proof Managementfor Shopify (2026)
Camouflage: Hide Sold Variants and Follow Up ‑ Proof Management both appear in the 'Custom products' category on Shopify, but they address completely different needs. Camouflage is designed to improve the customer experience by managing the visibility of product variants based on inventory and other conditions. It targets merchants who sell products with multiple variants and want to avoid frustrating customers with unavailable options. Follow Up ‑ Proof Management, on the other hand, focuses on streamlining the process of managing custom orders, facilitating communication between merchants and customers for approvals, feedback, and payments. The primary difference lies in their core functionality. Camouflage aims for ease of use and minimal manual intervention by automating variant visibility based on defined rules. Conversely, Follow Up ‑ Proof Management requires active communication and engagement with customers to manage order proofs and approvals, offering tools for file sharing, chat, and invoicing.
