Camouflage: Hide Sold Variants vs Iconic: Trust Badges & Iconsfor Shopify (2026)
Camouflage: Hide Sold Variants and Iconic: Trust Badges & Icons, while both boasting a perfect 5/5 rating, cater to fundamentally different Shopify merchant needs. Camouflage addresses the user experience frustration of displaying sold-out product variants, offering sophisticated rules for hiding, disabling, or styling them based on inventory levels, customer attributes, or geographic location. Its core value proposition is streamlining the shopping experience by presenting only available products to customers, preventing disappointment and abandoned carts. In contrast, Iconic focuses on visual trust signals, providing trust badges and icons. With significantly fewer reviews (2 compared to Camouflage's 233), Iconic likely serves merchants looking for a quick and easy way to enhance their store's credibility through visual elements. Both apps fall under the 'Design elements' Shopify category but target entirely different areas of design and functionality: one optimizing product presentation and the other building customer trust through visual cues. Therefore, the choice between the two depends heavily on the specific problem a merchant aims to solve.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with managing sold-out variants and wanting to improve the customer shopping experience by only displaying available options, Camouflage: Hide Sold Variants is the clear choice. Its powerful rules engine offers granular control over variant visibility.
Iconic: Trust Badges & Icons, on the other hand, is more suited for new stores or those with low review counts who are prioritizing building immediate customer trust through visual reassurance. However, given its limited number of reviews, it might be prudent to explore alternative trust badge apps with more established reputations.
