Carro: Collaborative Commerce vs VideoPoint Shoppable AI Videosfor Shopify (2026)
Carro: Collaborative Commerce and VideoPoint Shoppable AI Videos are two Shopify apps that cater to different aspects of online sales optimization. Carro focuses on expanding product offerings and customer acquisition through dropshipping and brand partnerships, essentially transforming the way merchants source and sell products. Its strength lies in building a collaborative network, potentially boosting revenue and average order value (AOV) by cross-selling and expanding product catalogs without upfront inventory investment. In contrast, VideoPoint Shoppable AI Videos aims to enhance the customer experience and conversion rates by leveraging AI to create engaging, on-brand video content for product pages. It emphasizes ease of use with AI templates and pre-made avatars, eliminating the need for extensive video production skills. While both apps aim to increase sales, they achieve it through different means: Carro by expanding product availability and network reach, and VideoPoint by improving product presentation and engagement through shoppable video content. The target audiences are also distinct: Carro is geared towards merchants seeking to scale their product range and establish strategic brand partnerships, while VideoPoint is suitable for those aiming to improve product page conversion rates and overall customer engagement through video marketing.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking to rapidly expand their product catalog and tap into new customer acquisition channels through dropshipping and brand partnerships, Carro: Collaborative Commerce is the more suitable choice. It's a powerful platform for scaling operations and forging strategic alliances. However, if the primary goal is to enhance product presentation, boost conversion rates, and engage customers through video content, VideoPoint Shoppable AI Videos is the better option. Its AI-powered video creation platform offers a cost-effective and user-friendly solution for creating high-quality, shoppable videos at scale.
While VideoPoint has a perfect rating, the lower number of reviews compared to Carro suggests it may be a newer app or have a smaller user base. Merchants should consider this when evaluating the reliability and long-term support of each app. A merchant prioritizing product expansion should lean towards Carro, while those needing enhanced product visuals will likely benefit more from VideoPoint.
