Cart Lock:Block Checkout Rules vs Kaching AI Slide Cart Drawerfor Shopify (2026)
Cart Lock:Block Checkout Rules and Kaching AI Slide Cart Drawer, while both operating within the Checkout category on Shopify, cater to vastly different merchant needs. Cart Lock focuses on preventing unwanted or fraudulent transactions by allowing merchants to create rules that block orders based on various criteria like country, product quantity, and customer profiles. This is primarily a security and order quality tool, aimed at safeguarding revenue and preventing bot-driven abuse of promotions or inventory. Kaching AI Slide Cart Drawer, on the other hand, is a conversion optimization tool designed to increase Average Order Value (AOV). It enhances the cart drawer with features like urgency timers, free shipping bars, and upsell opportunities. Kaching targets merchants looking to actively boost sales through user experience improvements and persuasive sales tactics within the cart itself. While Cart Lock silently works behind the scenes to filter undesirable orders, Kaching is front-facing, influencing customer behavior during the checkout process. The review count discrepancy also suggests different market adoption levels. Kaching, with significantly more reviews, is likely appealing to a broader audience actively seeking AOV improvement, while Cart Lock serves a more niche market focused on fraud prevention and order validation.
