Cashfree BNPL Plus vs TryOnify: Try Before You Buyfor Shopify (2026)
Cashfree BNPL Plus and TryOnify: Try Before You Buy are both Shopify apps in the Payments category aiming to improve customer experience and increase sales, but they approach it from fundamentally different angles. Cashfree BNPL Plus focuses on providing flexible payment options like EMIs and Pay Later directly on the product page to reduce cart abandonment and boost average order value. It emphasizes convenience and integration with the Cashfree Payments gateway. This makes it suitable for merchants already using or considering Cashfree Payments. TryOnify, conversely, centers around a "Try Now, Pay Later" model, allowing customers a free trial period before committing to a purchase, aiming to acquire new customers sustainably and address reasons for cart abandonment unrelated to payment options. The key distinction lies in their core value proposition: Cashfree BNPL Plus offers payment flexibility to complete sales, while TryOnify offers a free trial to convert hesitant visitors into customers. Cashfree BNPL Plus requires the Cashfree Payments app, implying vendor lock-in, but offers the advantage of 'no-code' setup. TryOnify is focused on acquiring new customers by alleviating the risk of purchase, potentially leading to more sustained growth for merchants open to the 'Try Before You Buy' model. While both have 5/5 ratings, TryOnify has four times the number of reviews, suggesting greater adoption and potentially more reliable feedback.

Our Verdict
For merchants already integrated with Cashfree Payments or prioritizing offering BNPL/EMI options to boost immediate sales, Cashfree BNPL Plus is a straightforward choice. Its 'no-code' promise is appealing for those with limited technical expertise. However, the single review raises questions about its reliability and widespread adoption. If the primary goal is to acquire new customers and alleviate the fear of buyer's remorse, TryOnify is the stronger contender. Its focus on 'Try Now, Pay Later' caters to a more cautious customer base, potentially resulting in long-term customer loyalty. The higher number of reviews, although still small, provide a slightly more reliable gauge of user satisfaction. In summary, choose Cashfree BNPL Plus for immediate sales uplift with existing customers using Cashfree Payments and TryOnify for long-term growth and attracting new customers through risk-free trials.
