CB: Social Media Inbox+Support vs Sobot Live Chat & Chatbotfor Shopify (2026)
CB: Social Media Inbox+Support and Sobot Live Chat & Chatbot both aim to improve customer support on Shopify, falling into the Helpdesk category. However, the available data paints a drastically different picture for each app. CB: Social Media Inbox+Support boasts a perfect 5/5 rating based on 5 reviews, suggesting initial user satisfaction, possibly focused on streamlined social media interactions. Sobot Live Chat & Chatbot, conversely, has no ratings or reviews at all, indicating it is either very new or struggling to gain traction and customer feedback. This lack of data makes it difficult to assess its strengths. It promises 'Live Chat & Chatbot' functionalities, implying a broader range of support options beyond social media, including potentially automated assistance. Due to the limited information, it's challenging to make concrete claims about either app's specific features. However, the presence of 'Social Media Inbox' in CB's name suggests a focus on aggregating customer interactions from various social platforms, which could be especially valuable for businesses with a strong social media presence. Sobot's value proposition, as implied by its name, revolves around real-time customer interaction via live chat, supplemented by chatbot automation, potentially offering 24/7 availability. The choice between the two heavily depends on a merchant's need for social media integration versus broader live chat and automated support capabilities.

Our Verdict
At this point in 2026, given the available data, CB: Social Media Inbox+Support is the less risky option for merchants seeking to centralize and improve their social media customer support. The 5/5 rating, though based on a limited number of reviews, suggests a positive initial experience for some users. Sobot Live Chat & Chatbot remains an unknown quantity, and merchants considering it should proceed with caution and seek more information or trials before committing.
If a business's priority is solely social media management, then CB: Social Media Inbox+Support is likely the better choice. However, if a business requires broader customer support capabilities including live chat and automated responses, and is willing to take the risk with a potentially new app, then Sobot Live Chat & Chatbot might be worth investigating further once more user data becomes available.
