Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with simplifying the path to purchase for customers arriving from external marketing campaigns and desire trackable, preloaded checkout experiences, CCL Add to Cart Checkout Links is likely the better choice. It streamlines the buying process and allows for detailed performance tracking.
However, for merchants focused on boosting average order value and implementing promotional strategies directly within the shopping cart through free gifts and BOGO offers, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift is the superior option. The substantial number of reviews suggests it's a well-established and effective tool for in-cart incentivization. While both have 5/5 ratings, the significantly higher review count of EG indicates broader adoption and potentially more robust support.
