CCL Hide Payment Methods vs COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verifyfor Shopify (2026)
CCL Hide Payment Methods and COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify, while both touching on payment method customization, serve distinctly different purposes for Shopify merchants. CCL Hide Payment Methods focuses on comprehensive payment method management, offering features to sort, reorder, rename, and hide various payment options based on flexible conditions, aiming to streamline the checkout process and increase conversion rates. It's built for merchants who want fine-grained control over which payment options are displayed based on cart specifics, geography, or shipping method. COD King, on the other hand, is primarily designed to combat issues associated with Cash on Delivery (COD) payments, specifically Return to Origin/Sender (RTO/RTS) costs and fake orders. COD King addresses the pain points of COD orders by offering OTP verification, upfront partial payments, and COD fees, along with the option to convert COD orders to prepaid by offering discounts. This app is specifically geared towards merchants, especially those in regions like India and Egypt, where COD is prevalent and RTO/RTS rates are high. It's an anti-fraud and profit maximization tool centered around COD order management, while CCL Hide Payment Methods is a broader payment customization solution.

Our Verdict
If a merchant is primarily concerned with reducing RTO/RTS costs, combating fake COD orders, and optimizing their COD payment strategy, COD King is the clear choice. Its features are explicitly designed for this purpose, supported by a large number of reviews, suggesting it's well-established in its niche. Merchants primarily operating in countries like India and Egypt will especially benefit. However, if a merchant needs comprehensive control over all payment method visibility based on various cart conditions (e.g., hiding specific payment options based on customer location, cart total, or shipping method), CCL Hide Payment Methods provides the necessary tools. While it has fewer reviews, its focus on flexible payment method customization makes it the better option for that specific need.
