CCL Hide Payment Methods vs EG Auto Add to Cart Free Giftfor Shopify (2026)
CCL Hide Payment Methods and EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift, while sharing the 'Checkout' and 'Cart customization' Shopify categories, serve fundamentally different purposes. CCL Hide Payment Methods focuses on optimizing the payment process by allowing merchants to customize payment options based on various conditions. This aims to streamline checkout, boost customer satisfaction by presenting relevant payment choices, and reduce unnecessary costs associated with irrelevant payment gateways. Its strength lies in its rule-based system for payment method management. EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift, on the other hand, focuses on increasing sales and order value through automated promotional offers. It allows merchants to create rules that automatically add free gifts or offer BOGO (Buy One Get One) deals based on cart content or value. Its key strength lies in its ability to create upsell opportunities and incentivize purchases. Thus, one optimizes the *payment* process, and the other optimizes *sales* through promotional offers. The target audiences are clearly different: CCL is for merchants wanting control over payment options; EG is for merchants wanting to boost order value.
