Our Verdict
The choice between CCL Hide Payment Methods and Essential Upsell & Cross Sell depends entirely on the merchant's priorities. If a merchant is struggling with checkout abandonment due to confusing or irrelevant payment options, or if they need to manage payment methods based on specific order characteristics (e.g., only offering certain methods for international orders), then CCL Hide Payment Methods is the better choice. However, if the primary goal is to increase AOV and drive more revenue per customer, and they want to implement strategies like frequently bought together suggestions or post-purchase upsells, then Essential Upsell & Cross Sell is the superior solution. Given the significantly higher number of reviews and perfect rating, Essential Upsell & Cross Sell seems to be a more established and widely used solution for a very common e-commerce goal.
