CCL Hide Payment Methods vs Kaching AI Slide Cart Drawerfor Shopify (2026)
CCL Hide Payment Methods and Kaching AI Slide Cart Drawer both operate within the 'Checkout' and 'Cart customization' categories on the Shopify app store, but they address fundamentally different aspects of the checkout experience. CCL Hide Payment Methods focuses on streamlining the payment process by allowing merchants to customize the payment options presented to customers based on various conditions, such as cart value, shipping method, or destination. Its goal is to reduce friction and potentially safeguard against unnecessary transaction costs. In contrast, Kaching AI Slide Cart Drawer concentrates on maximizing Average Order Value (AOV) by enhancing the cart drawer with features like upsell sliders, urgency timers, and free shipping bars, aiming to incentivize customers to add more items to their cart before proceeding to checkout. The primary difference lies in their objective: CCL aims to optimize the *existing* checkout flow and payment options, whereas Kaching seeks to *influence* customer purchasing behavior within the cart itself. CCL is for merchants prioritizing a clean, efficient, and secure payment selection process, while Kaching is for those actively seeking to increase sales through cart-level promotions and upselling. CCL emphasizes control and customization of payment options, while Kaching emphasizes conversion rate optimization and AOV improvement. A notable difference is also the number of reviews, with Kaching having significantly more (175) compared to CCL (17), which may reflect a wider user base and/or longer market presence.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with optimizing their payment selection process, streamlining the checkout experience, and potentially reducing costs associated with unwanted payment methods, CCL Hide Payment Methods is the more suitable choice. It provides granular control over which payment options are displayed and when, based on specific conditions. This is especially useful for businesses that want to tailor the payment experience to specific customer segments or order characteristics.
However, if the primary goal is to boost Average Order Value and drive more sales, Kaching AI Slide Cart Drawer offers a more direct path to achieving those objectives. Its focus on upselling, urgency, and visual enhancements within the cart drawer makes it a powerful tool for influencing customer behavior and encouraging larger purchases. Merchants looking to actively promote additional products and incentives within the cart should strongly consider Kaching.
