CCL Hide Payment Methods vs Partialy ‑ Partial Payment CODfor Shopify (2026)
CCL Hide Payment Methods and Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD, while both touching the 'Cash on Delivery (COD)' Shopify category, address distinct needs. CCL Hide Payment Methods focuses on comprehensive control over payment gateway visibility and arrangement at checkout. It allows merchants to conditionally hide, sort, rename, and reorder payment options based on various criteria like cart total, shipping method, or location, aiming to streamline the checkout process and increase conversions. Its value proposition lies in customized payment experiences and reduced operational costs by preventing unnecessary payment options from being displayed. Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD, in contrast, emphasizes flexible payment plans and risk mitigation. Its primary function is enabling partial payments (deposits), Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) options, and advanced COD rules. This targets merchants looking to improve sales by offering installment plans and reducing Return-to-Origin (RTO) rates. Partialy allows for COD rule customization by order amount, location, or product, along with options for setting up discounts for prepaid orders. Its strengths are in handling pre-orders, deferred payment campaigns, and managing COD risks and costs. In 2026, both apps are serving merchants adapting to increasingly sophisticated payment preferences. The apps, however, serve different purposes. CCL Hide Payment Methods prioritizes optimizing the customer checkout journey, while Partialy focuses on unlocking payment options traditionally reserved for larger enterprises by allowing flexible payment installments.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with optimizing the payment options displayed at checkout and reducing unnecessary payment processing costs, CCL Hide Payment Methods is the more suitable choice. Its robust rule engine allows for granular control over payment visibility based on a variety of factors. This is useful for merchants offering many payment options and desiring a streamlined, customized checkout experience.
On the other hand, Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD is the better option for merchants seeking to offer flexible payment plans, such as partial payments, Buy Now Pay Later, and advanced COD options. Its focus on reducing RTO and managing COD risks makes it ideal for businesses operating in markets where COD is prevalent or wanting to cater to customers with varied payment preferences. The advanced COD rules alone can make it extremely valuable if your business relies on COD but faces challenges in profitability with that payment method.
Common Questions
Does CCL Hide Payment Methods support partial payments?
No, CCL Hide Payment Methods focuses on controlling the *visibility* of payment methods, not on enabling partial payments or installment plans.
Can Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD hide payment methods?
While Partialy primarily facilitates partial payments and COD management, its advanced COD rules *could* potentially be used to conditionally prevent COD from appearing under certain circumstances, effectively *hiding* it, but that isn't its primary purpose.
Which app is better for reducing fraudulent orders?
Neither app directly addresses fraud prevention as a primary function. CCL Hide Payment Methods *might* indirectly reduce fraud by allowing merchants to hide less secure payment options. The partial payment with deposit that Partialy facilitates makes it unlikely that the user will place a fraudulent order, since the first installment is already paid.
Which app is easier to set up?
Partialy is likely easier to set up, due to its focus on a smaller set of features. CCL Hide Payment Methods, with its extensive rule engine, may require more configuration and testing to ensure it works as intended.
Do these apps integrate with other payment gateways like PayPal or Stripe?
The data provided doesn't mention specific integrations. However, it's likely that both apps are designed to work with common payment gateways used on Shopify. CCL Hide Payment Methods would *impact* how those gateways are displayed and the partial payment plans of Partialy *depend* on how the user pays through those gateways, though.
