Our Verdict
Merchants struggling specifically with Cash on Delivery (COD) logistics, profitability, or regional COD availability will find RUBIX Cash on Delivery:COD Fee the more suitable choice. Its targeted features directly address COD-related pain points, allowing for optimized fee structures and eligibility criteria. Conversely, CCL Hide Payment Methods shines for merchants who require comprehensive control over *all* payment methods, not just COD. If the goal is to streamline the checkout process by conditionally hiding payment options based on cart contents, location, or other factors, CCL's broader feature set provides the necessary tools. Choosing between the two depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs and the scope of their desired payment management strategy.
Common Questions
Can CCL Hide Payment Methods add a COD fee?
CCL Hide Payment Methods primarily focuses on managing the *visibility* of payment methods. While it can conditionally show or hide COD based on rules, it does not inherently add COD fees like RUBIX Cash on Delivery:COD Fee does.
Is RUBIX Cash on Delivery:COD Fee useful if I don't offer COD?
No. RUBIX Cash on Delivery:COD Fee is exclusively designed for stores that offer Cash on Delivery as a payment option. If you don't offer COD, this app won't provide any value.
Which app offers better overall payment customization?
CCL Hide Payment Methods offers better overall payment customization due to its broader range of conditions and actions applicable to all payment methods, not just COD.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
RUBIX Cash on Delivery:COD Fee is likely easier to set up and use because its functionality is narrowly focused on COD management. CCL Hide Payment Methods, with its wider feature set, may require a slightly steeper learning curve.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Potentially, but it's crucial to ensure compatibility and avoid conflicting rules. Using both might create unintended consequences, especially if CCL Hide Payment Methods is used to hide or modify COD options configured by RUBIX. Careful planning and testing are essential.
