Celebros AI Search & Discovery vs Slidey Barfor Shopify (2026)
Celebros AI Search & Discovery and Slidey Bar, both categorized under Shopify's 'Search and Navigation - Other', cater to fundamentally different needs. Celebros focuses on enhancing the on-site search experience, aiming to boost conversion rates and revenue by leveraging AI-powered natural language processing and merchandising tools. Its target audience appears to be merchants with larger catalogs or those seeking to improve product discoverability and offer a more intuitive search functionality. Slidey Bar, conversely, provides a dynamic side bar for displaying promotions or informational content, focusing on enhancing customer engagement and highlighting specific products or content. The key difference lies in their core functionality. Celebros is a search engine optimization tool, striving to improve the search functionality on the site using AI, while Slidey Bar is a visual merchandising tool used to present information. This makes Celebros geared towards improving product discovery, while Slidey Bar is oriented towards visual sales and call-to-action prompts. The complete lack of reviews for Celebros in 2026 is a major disadvantage compared to Slidey Bar’s perfect 5/5 rating (albeit based on a small sample of 6 reviews), signaling uncertainty about its usability and effectiveness.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily focused on improving their on-site search functionality and conversion rates through AI-driven product discovery, Celebros AI Search & Discovery presents a potentially powerful solution. However, the absence of any reviews and a 0/5 rating should raise significant caution. Merchants should proceed with extreme due diligence, potentially seeking a demo or trial period if available.
Slidey Bar, with its positive reviews and focus on easy-to-implement dynamic side bars for promotions and announcements, is a more readily accessible solution for merchants looking to quickly enhance customer engagement and highlight specific products or content. Given its positive rating and simple setup, it's a safer bet for immediate impact, especially for stores that don't have critical search issues.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Slidey Bar, due to its 'no coding required' installation and straightforward functionality, is significantly easier to set up and use than Celebros AI Search & Discovery, which likely requires more technical expertise to configure its AI-driven search capabilities.
Which app is more likely to increase sales?
Both apps *aim* to increase sales, but in different ways. Celebros attempts this through enhanced product discovery and improved search conversion. Slidey Bar does it through promotional opportunities presented by a dynamic side bar. Which is more effective depends entirely on the specific store and its needs. Celebros *could* have a larger effect, but this is pure speculation given its 0/5 review rating.
Does Celebros AI Search & Discovery offer features similar to Slidey Bar?
No. Celebros focuses exclusively on improving the search experience, offering features like semantic search and dynamic filters, which are completely different from Slidey Bar's side bar and promotional capabilities.
Is either app compatible with all Shopify themes?
The descriptions don't explicitly guarantee compatibility with all themes, but Slidey Bar's claim of 'no coding required' suggests high compatibility. Celebros might require some theme adjustments to fully integrate its search functionality seamlessly.
Which app offers better customer support?
The descriptions provide no information about customer support. The lack of reviews for Celebros makes it impossible to assess its support quality. The 5/5 rating of Slidey Bar suggests adequate customer support, but is a small sample size.
