Chargeback: Auto Prevention vs Yofifor Shopify (2026)
Chargeback: Auto Prevention and Yofi are both Shopify apps in the "Fraud" category, but they address different aspects of financial loss prevention for merchants. Chargeback: Auto Prevention focuses specifically on chargebacks, providing an automated system to identify and preemptively refund transactions, aiming to avoid chargeback fees, money holds, and potential Shopify account shutdowns. Yofi, on the other hand, tackles return fraud and policy abuse, using AI to identify suspicious customer behavior and helping merchants to protect themselves from fraudulent returns and related losses. The key differentiator lies in the type of fraud they combat. Chargeback: Auto Prevention focuses on preventing customer-initiated chargebacks on legitimate purchases by addressing disputes before they escalate. Yofi is oriented towards preventing fraud related to returns, identifying bad actors attempting to exploit return policies through various tactics. While Chargeback: Auto Prevention emphasizes ease of use and automated solutions, Yofi highlights advanced AI detection and empowering customer experience representatives with risk scores to make informed decisions regarding returns. The rating and review counts should be taken into consideration - Yofi has a perfect rating, but a very small number of reviews making the rating potentially less reliable.
