Chargeback Specialist vs COD: Advanced Cash on Deliveryfor Shopify (2026)
Chargeback Specialist and COD: Advanced Cash on Delivery both operate within the 'Fraud' category on the Shopify App Store, but they address distinctly different types of fraudulent activities and cater to different merchant needs. Our Verdict
The choice between Chargeback Specialist and COD: Advanced Cash on Delivery depends entirely on the specific fraud challenges a merchant faces. If the primary issue is chargebacks and disputes, particularly unfair or fraudulent ones, Chargeback Specialist is the clear choice due to its AI-powered automation and human oversight. Its 'one-click activation' suggests ease of implementation.
However, if the merchant's main concern is high Return to Origin (RTO) rates and losses from bogus COD orders, COD: Advanced Cash on Delivery is the more suitable solution. It provides tools to verify COD orders before shipment, reducing the risk of fulfilling fraudulent transactions. Therefore, it is crucial to accurately assess the specific problem area before committing to an app.
