Our Verdict
For established eCommerce businesses already struggling with a high volume of chargebacks and seeking a solution to recover lost revenue and improve dispute win rates, Chargeback Specialist is likely a better choice due to its AI-driven dispute response system and human oversight. However, for merchants prioritizing proactive fraud prevention, especially those looking to expand internationally or seeking complete peace of mind with a financial guarantee, Evereye | Fraud Protection offers a compelling solution by stopping fraudulent orders before they ship. If the primary goal is to avoid chargebacks altogether, Evereye's guarantee makes it the stronger option.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim easy setup. Chargeback Specialist boasts "One-click activation. No technical setup required" while Evereye promises "Get set up in minutes. On-boarding & integration is quick and easy.". Without user feedback data, both appear equally simple to install and configure.
Which app is more affordable?
Pricing information is not provided for either app, so it's impossible to determine which is more affordable. Merchants need to investigate pricing plans directly from the Shopify App Store pages for both apps.
Which app is better for international sales?
Evereye explicitly mentions that their solution helps "Accept international orders without risk." While Chargeback Specialist could indirectly assist with international chargebacks, Evereye is positioned as the better choice for merchants focusing on global expansion.
Does either app offer phone support?
Evereye offers real person phone support. Chargeback Specialist does not explicitly mention phone support.
Which app handles the chargeback dispute process directly with the bank?
Chargeback Specialist explicitly handles the chargeback dispute process, using AI and human review to build responses and gather evidence. While Evereye aims to prevent chargebacks from happening, it does not describe helping with the dispute process itself when one does occur (covered by their guarantee).
