Our Verdict
The choice between Chargly ‑ Collect POS Fees and ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs. If you operate a brick-and-mortar store or heavily utilize Shopify POS and struggle with rising payment processing fees, Chargly is the clear choice. Its ability to add surcharges at the point of sale offers a direct solution to offset these costs. However, for online retailers focused on optimizing the checkout experience and improving conversion rates by personalizing payment options, ETP Sort Hide Payment Methods is the more suitable option.
While both apps have perfect ratings, the substantial difference in the number of reviews suggests ETP has a broader user base and potentially more validated functionality. If you primarily sell online and do not use Shopify POS, Chargly provides no value. Conversely, if you don't experience issues with payment processing fees eroding your profits at your physical locations using POS systems, ETP will provide value you may not have known you could achieve.
