Chat ON Desk vs KwikPass: OTP‑login & Popupsfor Shopify (2026)
Chat ON Desk and KwikPass: OTP‑login & Popups both aim to improve the Shopify user experience via OTP login and increased customer engagement, but they approach it from different angles. Chat ON Desk focuses primarily on fraud reduction and order recovery through WhatsApp-based communications, including order alerts and cart recovery flows, as well as converting Cash on Delivery orders to prepaid. KwikPass, on the other hand, emphasizes lead generation and turning anonymous visitors into identifiable customers through phone-first SSO login and interactive pop-ups like "Spin the Wheel." While both offer OTP-based login, Chat ON Desk integrates this with broader operational concerns like RTO reduction and COD order management using WhatsApp. KwikPass concentrates on streamlining the login process to identify users quickly and then engaging them through various pop-up promotions. The target audience for Chat ON Desk is likely merchants heavily reliant on COD orders and those looking to actively manage order fulfillment communications. KwikPass is better suited for merchants prioritizing lead generation and conversion optimization through interactive marketing and simplified login.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily reliant on Cash on Delivery (COD) orders and facing issues with return-to-origin (RTO) losses, Chat ON Desk appears to be the stronger choice. Its focus on WhatsApp-based order confirmations and recovery flows directly addresses these operational challenges. The promise of a quick setup is also appealing. However, the low number of reviews makes it difficult to assess long-term reliability.
KwikPass is better suited for merchants primarily focused on growing their email or SMS lists and increasing conversions through interactive pop-up promotions. If lead generation and identifying anonymous shoppers are key priorities, KwikPass's phone-first SSO login and engaging popups offer a more direct approach. The higher number of reviews suggests greater user experience data to consider.
