ChatIn: AI Chatbot Support vs Relocate+ Order Editorfor Shopify (2026)
ChatIn: AI Chatbot Support and Relocate+ Order Editor both aim to reduce the burden on merchant support teams, but they address fundamentally different aspects of customer service. ChatIn focuses on providing 24/7 AI-powered support to answer product and order-related questions, aiming to boost sales by providing immediate information and deflecting support tickets through automated responses. Relocate+ Order Editor, on the other hand, focuses on empowering customers to self-manage their orders by editing shipping addresses, products, and other details, thereby reducing errors and returns. While both belong to the Helpdesk category, their approaches are drastically different, with ChatIn focusing on proactive engagement and Relocate+ focusing on post-purchase self-service. The significant difference in their ratings and number of reviews immediately highlights a key distinction. ChatIn has no ratings or reviews, suggesting it is either new to the market or has not yet gained traction. Relocate+ Order Editor boasts a perfect 5/5 rating with 31 reviews, indicating strong customer satisfaction. This implies that Relocate+ has a proven track record and a reliable solution, whereas ChatIn remains untested by the wider Shopify merchant community. The choice between the two depends largely on the merchant's specific needs: whether they prioritize immediate sales support and automated answers to common queries, or empowering customers to make self-service edits to their orders.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with a high volume of pre-sale product questions and desiring 24/7 sales support automation, ChatIn: AI Chatbot Support may be a viable option, *provided* they are willing to be early adopters and risk dealing with potential bugs or unproven performance given its lack of reviews. However, the risk is significantly higher, especially considering the availability of mature chatbot solutions in 2026.
Relocate+ Order Editor is the clear winner for merchants seeking to reduce errors, returns, and customer support inquiries related to order modifications. Its positive reviews and focus on self-service order editing provide a proven and reliable solution for improving customer satisfaction and streamlining post-purchase operations. It's the safer and likely more effective choice for the majority of merchants looking to improve their order management workflow.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Given the lack of reviews for ChatIn, it's difficult to definitively say. However, Relocate+'s focus on rule-based configuration and integrations suggests a relatively straightforward setup, assuming you're familiar with defining logical rules for order edits. ChatIn requires the merchant to input and curate their FAQs, policies, and product information, which can be a time-consuming initial setup.
Which app is better for increasing sales?
ChatIn is specifically designed to increase sales by providing immediate answers to potential customers' questions, potentially overcoming hesitation and leading to purchases. Relocate+ indirectly contributes to increased sales by improving customer satisfaction and reducing returns, leading to repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.
Which app is more cost-effective?
Without pricing information for either app, a cost comparison is impossible. However, merchants should consider the potential cost savings from reduced support tickets (ChatIn) versus the cost savings from reduced returns and improved customer satisfaction (Relocate+).
Does ChatIn replace the need for human customer support agents?
No, ChatIn is designed to deflect repetitive tickets and escalate complex chats to human agents when needed. It acts as a first line of defense, freeing up human agents to focus on more complex and nuanced customer issues.
Can Relocate+ handle international order edits?
The description of Relocate+ does not explicitly mention international order edits. The app's capabilities in this area depend on its ability to handle different address formats, tax regulations, and shipping zones, which should be verified before implementation.
