CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms vs Omnibus Pricingfor Shopify (2026)
CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms and Omnibus Pricing both fall under the 'Legal' category on the Shopify app store, indicating they address legal requirements for online stores. CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms, with a perfect 5/5 rating, focuses on securing agreement to terms and conditions, likely through mandatory checkboxes before checkout. This is crucial for ensuring legal compliance and protecting merchants from disputes. Omnibus Pricing, rated 4.8/5, probably concerns itself with displaying pricing information in a legally compliant manner, perhaps adhering to 'Omnibus Directive' requirements common in various jurisdictions. While both apps touch upon legal aspects, their functionalities are distinct. CheckboxAssistant likely caters to merchants who prioritize explicit agreement to store policies before a sale. Omnibus Pricing seems targeted at merchants selling into regions with strict price display regulations, ensuring that pricing is transparent and adheres to local legal standards. The difference in review count (24 vs 48) might suggest Omnibus Pricing addresses a more common need, or has been on the market longer, accumulating more users and feedback.

Our Verdict
The choice between CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms and Omnibus Pricing hinges on the specific legal challenges a merchant faces. If a merchant is primarily concerned with enforcing terms and conditions and ensuring customers explicitly agree to them before purchase, CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms is the clear choice, especially given its perfect rating.
If the merchant operates in or sells to regions governed by the Omnibus Directive (or similar pricing transparency laws), Omnibus Pricing is likely essential to avoid legal repercussions. While its rating is slightly lower, the higher review count suggests it addresses a widespread need. For merchants selling internationally, both apps could be necessary to cover all bases.
