CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms vs Smart Age Verificationfor Shopify (2026)
CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms and Smart Age Verification both fall under the 'Legal' category in the Shopify app store, but address distinct merchant needs. CheckboxAssistant focuses on obtaining explicit consent and agreement to terms and conditions, potentially targeting merchants prioritizing legal compliance and unambiguous user agreements. Our Verdict
If your primary concern is ensuring users actively agree to your terms and conditions before proceeding (e.g., completing a purchase, signing up for an account), then CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms is likely the better choice, given its higher rating and more reviews. However, if your business model hinges on restricting access to products or content based on age, Smart Age Verification is the clear choice, despite the slightly lower rating. The choice boils down to whether your priority is legal compliance through agreement or through age restriction.
