CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms vs Token of Trust Verificationfor Shopify (2026)
CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms and Token of Trust Verification both aim to assist Shopify merchants in the 'Legal' category, but they address fundamentally different needs. CheckboxAssistant focuses on obtaining agreement to terms and conditions, likely a simpler and more universally applicable solution. Token of Trust Verification, on the other hand, provides tools for verifying customer age, which is critical for merchants selling age-restricted products like alcohol, tobacco, or regulated goods. The substantial difference in the number of reviews suggests CheckboxAssistant has a broader appeal or has been available for a longer period. Token of Trust Verification is more specialized and therefore likely to attract a smaller, but equally important, segment of Shopify store owners.

Our Verdict
For the vast majority of Shopify merchants simply needing to ensure customers agree to terms of service, privacy policies, or other legal agreements, CheckboxAssistant: Agree Terms is likely the more appropriate and easier-to-implement solution. Its higher review count, despite both having perfect ratings, suggests broader adoption and potentially greater ease of use. However, for merchants specifically selling age-restricted products or those facing regulatory pressure to verify customer age, Token of Trust Verification is the clear choice. Its features are specifically designed for age verification and compliance, offering valuable tools that CheckboxAssistant simply doesn't provide. The difference in target audience is key in deciding between these two apps.
