Our Verdict
For merchants seeking complete control and customization of their checkout process, including elements like trust badges, gift messages, payment options, and post-purchase experiences, Checkout Plus is the better choice. It allows for a highly tailored customer journey and addresses a broader range of checkout-related needs. However, if the primary goal is to boost average order value through automated free gift promotions, BOGO offers, and strategic upsells, EG Auto Add to Cart Free Gift is the superior option. Its simplicity and focus on automation make it ideal for merchants looking to quickly implement effective promotional strategies without extensive checkout customization.
