C:Hub Customer Accounts vs CP: Order Editing & Upsellsfor Shopify (2026)
C:Hub Customer Accounts and CP: Order Editing & Upsells both target improving the post-purchase customer experience on Shopify, but with different approaches. C:Hub focuses on enhancing the entire customer account experience, providing a centralized, customizable hub for managing orders, profiles, and more. It positions itself as a complete replacement for the default Shopify customer account system. This aims to increase customer engagement and drive revenue by providing a more feature-rich and branded experience. It seems positioned well for Shopify's Classic and new Customer Accounts systems. CP: Order Editing & Upsells, on the other hand, zeroes in on order management by empowering customers to self-service edit orders after placement, including changes to variants, quantities, and shipping addresses. This aims to reduce support costs and improve customer satisfaction by giving customers more control over their orders.

Our Verdict
If you're looking for a complete overhaul of your customer account system, focusing on branding, customization, and a richer feature set to drive engagement, C:Hub Customer Accounts is the better choice. It provides a comprehensive solution for managing customer information and orders within a centralized hub. It supports both Shopify Classic and new Customer Accounts. However, if your primary concern is reducing customer service workload related to order modifications and boosting AOV through post-purchase upsells, CP: Order Editing & Upsells is the more targeted solution. Its focus on self-service order editing, address validation, and integrations with fulfillment systems makes it ideal for streamlining order management and minimizing errors.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both claim easy setup. However, C:Hub Customer Accounts, with its wider range of features, might require slightly more initial configuration to customize the customer account hub to your specific needs. CP: Order Editing & Upsells, with its more focused feature set, might offer a simpler initial setup.
Which app is better for increasing Average Order Value (AOV)?
CP: Order Editing & Upsells explicitly includes a post-purchase upsell feature designed to increase AOV. While C:Hub Customer Accounts might indirectly contribute to AOV by improving customer engagement, it doesn't offer a direct upsell mechanism.
Which app is more suited for businesses with high order volume?
CP: Order Editing & Upsells, with its focus on self-service order editing and address validation, is likely more beneficial for businesses with high order volume, as it can significantly reduce the number of support tickets related to order changes and shipping errors. Its 3PL/WMS integrations are also key for high volume scenarios.
Does C:Hub Customer Accounts offer order editing capabilities?
C:Hub Customer Accounts allows customers to cancel orders. However, it doesn't explicitly state that it allows customers to edit existing orders in the same way as CP: Order Editing & Upsells (change variants, quantities, or shipping address).
Which app is better for improving customer loyalty?
Both apps can contribute to customer loyalty, but in different ways. C:Hub Customer Accounts aims to build loyalty through a more engaging and personalized customer account experience. CP: Order Editing & Upsells fosters loyalty by giving customers more control and flexibility over their orders, reducing frustration and improving satisfaction.
