C:Hub Customer Accounts vs Onboard B2B: Company Profilesfor Shopify (2026)
C:Hub Customer Accounts and Onboard B2B: Company Profiles, while both residing in the 'Accounts and login' Shopify category, target distinctly different merchant needs. C:Hub Customer Accounts focuses on enhancing the standard customer account experience, aiming to boost engagement and revenue for both individual (B2C) and potentially B2B customers (though less explicitly). Its strength lies in customization options and integration with existing apps, creating a unified customer portal with features like order management and profile editing. It boasts a significant number of positive reviews (66) indicating a broader user base and potentially more robust real-world testing. The new Announcement Bar is a nice addition to communicate important information to logged-in customers. It supports both Shopify's Classic and New Customer Accounts. On the other hand, Onboard B2B: Company Profiles is laser-focused on streamlining B2B onboarding and management. It facilitates the creation of company profiles, automates approval workflows, and provides tools for company contacts to manage their own teams and locations. The app emphasizes access control features and the use of Shopify's native B2B capabilities, ensuring only authorized users can access the storefront and checkout. While its 5-star rating matches C:Hub's, the significantly lower review count (8) suggests a smaller user base or a more niche application. Its core value proposition centers on efficient wholesale management through Shopify's B2B functionality.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily selling directly to consumers (B2C) or those who want to improve the general customer account experience for both B2C and B2B customers without needing advanced B2B functionality, C:Hub Customer Accounts is the better choice. Its focus on customization, broader feature set for managing individual accounts, and significant number of positive reviews suggest a more mature and versatile solution. The inclusion of an announcement bar further enhances the logged-in customer experience.
However, if a merchant operates predominantly as a B2B/wholesale business and requires robust tools for managing company accounts, controlling access, and automating the onboarding process, Onboard B2B: Company Profiles is the superior option. Its specialization in B2B workflows, integration with Shopify's native B2B features, and focus on company management make it a more suitable fit for this specific use case.
