Claimbase: Instagram Sales vs Shop This Cityfor Shopify (2026)
Claimbase: Instagram Sales and Shop This City both aim to enhance sales, but they target different platforms and merchant needs. Claimbase focuses on leveraging Instagram as a sales channel, presumably by streamlining the process of creating shoppable posts and potentially integrating with Instagram Shopping. Shop This City, on the other hand, centers around increasing local discoverability for physical stores by listing their inventory in local shopping directories. This app emphasizes driving traffic to the merchant's website for the actual purchase. The primary distinction lies in their approaches to sales generation: Claimbase likely facilitates direct sales through Instagram, while Shop This City acts as a local marketing tool to drive traffic and sales to the merchant's existing online store. Therefore, Claimbase is better suited for merchants prioritizing Instagram as a sales channel, whereas Shop This City is ideal for fashion retailers with a physical store looking to attract local customers and leverage local shopping trends.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily invested in Instagram marketing and sales, Claimbase: Instagram Sales likely provides a more direct route to increased revenue. The higher number of reviews also suggests a more established app with a broader user base. However, if the primary goal is to attract local customers to a physical store and boost website traffic, Shop This City is the more relevant choice. Its focus on local discovery and targeted marketing aligns with this objective, provided the merchant's inventory is fashion-related and suitable for local search trends.
In the absence of more detailed information about Claimbase's features, Shop This City appears to offer a more unique and specific value proposition for businesses with a physical presence seeking local customers. Choose Shop This City if local SEO and driving local foot traffic (and website traffic from locals) is a key goal. For general Instagram sales, Claimbase might be better, but further investigation is required.
