Clay: B2B Wholesale Pricing vs DropSure ‑ Dropshipping & PODfor Shopify (2026)
Clay: B2B Wholesale Pricing and DropSure ‑ Dropshipping & POD, while both sharing the 'Sourcing options' category on Shopify, cater to distinctly different merchant needs. Clay focuses on enabling B2B wholesale pricing strategies directly within a Shopify store, enabling merchants to offer tiered pricing and custom discounts to wholesale customers. DropSure, in contrast, is designed to facilitate dropshipping and print-on-demand (POD) fulfillment, connecting merchants with suppliers who handle inventory and shipping. The primary differentiator lies in their core functionality. Clay empowers existing businesses to expand into or optimize their wholesale operations, whereas DropSure helps merchants launch online stores without managing inventory directly. While both aim to enhance sourcing options, one is for B2B price management and the other for streamlining product sourcing and fulfillment via dropshipping and POD.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Clay and DropSure hinges entirely on your business model. If you're an established business looking to offer wholesale pricing and manage your own inventory, Clay: B2B Wholesale Pricing is the clear choice. It gives you control over pricing tiers and customer-specific discounts. However, if you're seeking a hands-off approach to fulfillment, or you're starting a business without wanting to manage inventory, DropSure ‑ Dropshipping & POD is the better option, connecting you with suppliers who handle shipping and warehousing. There is very little overlap in use case between the apps.
Common Questions
Does Clay help find dropshipping suppliers?
No, Clay focuses on B2B wholesale pricing and does not connect you with dropshipping suppliers. It's for managing pricing for existing wholesale relationships.
Can DropSure handle wholesale pricing?
DropSure is designed for dropshipping and print-on-demand, it doesn't have functionality for complex B2B wholesale pricing structures. You would still set your retail pricing margin on each individual product to increase your revenue.
Is either app easy to use for beginners?
Ease of use would depend on familiarity with either pricing strategies or dropshipping concepts. Clay would be easier for a business owner with existing wholesale clients; DropSure would be simpler for someone brand new to ecommerce who does not want to manage inventory at all.
Are there any shared features between Clay and DropSure?
Both apps fall under the broad category of 'Sourcing options' as they help merchants acquire products or set pricing; however, their specific functionalities and target audiences are entirely distinct.
Which app is more likely to boost revenue for an existing online store?
It depends entirely on the business's strategy. Clay will boost revenue through optimized wholesale pricing for B2B customers. DropSure can boost revenue by expanding product offerings without inventory risk through dropshipping and POD options. Both have the potential to do so.
