Our Verdict
The choice between Clay: B2B Wholesale Pricing and MyDesigns: Print on Demand hinges entirely on the merchant's business model. If a merchant is already selling products and wants to expand into the wholesale market by offering bulk discounts and tiered pricing, Clay is the more suitable option. It is designed to facilitate B2B sales and likely offers features related to managing wholesale accounts and pricing structures.
However, if a merchant wants to sell custom or personalized products without holding any inventory, MyDesigns is the clear choice. Its focus on Print on Demand fulfillment, combined with mockup generation and bulk publishing tools, makes it an ideal solution for starting or scaling a Print on Demand business. They cater to different fulfillment strategies, and as such, are not really direct competitors despite sharing a single Shopify category.
