Clay: B2B Wholesale Pricing vs SparkLayer B2B & Wholesalefor Shopify (2026)
Clay: B2B Wholesale Pricing and SparkLayer B2B & Wholesale both cater to Shopify merchants seeking to expand into the B2B or wholesale market. Clay boasts a perfect 5/5 rating, suggesting high user satisfaction, but is based on a significantly smaller sample size of 81 reviews. SparkLayer, while slightly lower rated at 4.9/5, has amassed a much larger review base (272 reviews), indicating wider adoption and potentially more robust feedback across various use cases. SparkLayer positions itself as a comprehensive solution transforming an existing store into a 'fully featured' B2B platform, with a focus on features for both customers and sales teams. SparkLayer emphasizes ease of integration and a comprehensive feature set encompassing pricing, payments, quoting, invoicing, quantity/discount rules, and sales rep ordering. It also highlights rapid setup with expert onboarding and international capabilities (multi-language, multi-currency, and Shopify Markets support), along with the capability to run B2C and B2B operations from a single storefront. Clay's app description, beyond its name, isn't available, making direct feature comparison limited, but we can infer its primary focus on B2B wholesale pricing. Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on wholesale pricing strategies and potentially seeking a simpler, more streamlined app, Clay: B2B Wholesale Pricing might be a good starting point, especially if a perfect rating is a key factor. However, the lower review count should be considered. SparkLayer B2B & Wholesale is the stronger recommendation for businesses seeking a comprehensive B2B solution with sales team support, international capabilities, and a wider range of features. The higher review count and detailed feature list suggest a more robust and established platform, albeit with a slightly lower (but still very high) rating. If a merchant values a comprehensive approach and the support of an onboarding team, SparkLayer is the clear winner.
