Cleero: Auto Payment Matching vs Shopwaive Credit, Loyalty & AIfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, when choosing between Cleero: Auto Payment Matching and Shopwaive Credit, Loyalty & AI, the landscape of merchant reviews paints a stark contrast. Cleero, with a complete absence of reviews and a 0/5 rating, offers a service seemingly centered around automating payment matching. Shopwaive, conversely, boasts a perfect 5/5 rating from 15 reviews and positions itself as an all-in-one solution for flexible customer payments, loyalty programs, and AI-driven business insights. Shopwaive's description highlights a comprehensive suite of features encompassing credit, rewards, gift cards, upsells, refunds via store credit, integrations, automation, and B2B functionalities, catering to a broader range of merchant needs. The critical difference lies in the scope and validation. Cleero's specific focus on automated payment matching may appeal to merchants solely seeking streamlined accounting. However, the lack of user feedback presents a significant risk. Shopwaive's multifaceted approach, supported by positive user reviews, suggests a more robust and reliable solution for merchants aiming to enhance customer engagement, payment flexibility, and operational efficiency. The inclusion of AI-driven advice further differentiates Shopwaive, potentially attracting merchants seeking strategic insights beyond basic payment processing.

Our Verdict
Shopwaive Credit, Loyalty & AI appears to be the superior choice for most Shopify merchants in 2026. Its high rating and positive reviews, combined with a comprehensive suite of features designed to improve customer loyalty and streamline payment processes, make it a compelling option. The AI agent adds another layer of value, offering potentially valuable business insights.
Cleero: Auto Payment Matching, while potentially useful for merchants with a very specific need for automated payment matching, carries significant risk due to the complete lack of reviews. Unless a merchant has a very clear understanding of their payment reconciliation requirements and is willing to be an early adopter, Shopwaive presents a safer and more feature-rich alternative.
