Clonely ‑ Copy Products vs MP ‑ Store Migration & Importfor Shopify (2026)
Clonely ‑ Copy Products and MP ‑ Store Migration & Import both aim to streamline processes for Shopify merchants, but target distinct needs. Clonely positions itself as a product duplication tool, primarily for copying products, collections, or entire stores from one Shopify store to another. It emphasizes ease of use for quickly recreating listings, testing product ideas, or rapidly building a catalog, especially useful for dropshippers or those with licensed products needing to be replicated. MP ‑ Store Migration & Import, on the other hand, focuses on migrating an entire store's data from one platform to another, suggesting a broader scope related to store overhauls or platform transitions. The key difference lies in their application. Clonely is suited for merchants who need to selectively copy or replicate products within the Shopify ecosystem, like dropshippers adding new items, or expanding a single product across multiple stores they manage. MP ‑ Store Migration & Import caters to merchants undergoing more substantial changes, such as moving an entire store from a different e-commerce platform (not necessarily Shopify-to-Shopify) to Shopify or migrating between Shopify stores entirely. While both save time, Clonely does so through selective product duplication, while MP saves time through complete store migration.

Our Verdict
Choosing between Clonely ‑ Copy Products and MP ‑ Store Migration & Import depends heavily on the merchant's needs. For merchants who need to quickly replicate products, collections, or entire stores *within* the Shopify ecosystem, Clonely is the clear choice. Its focus on product duplication and control over which data to clone makes it ideal for dropshippers, merchants testing new product ideas, or those managing multiple Shopify stores.
MP ‑ Store Migration & Import is better suited for merchants undergoing a more significant store migration, especially from other platforms *to* Shopify. While both apps are in the same category, MP's focus is on the larger task of importing *all* data, rather than just individual products. The higher number of reviews suggests a more established user base, making it potentially a more reliable choice for complex migrations. However, the lack of explicitly mentioned ease of use compared to Clonely should be considered during selection.
