CM: Custom Fields Personalizer vs DPO Dynamic Product Optionsfor Shopify (2026)
CM: Custom Fields Personalizer and DPO Dynamic Product Options both cater to Shopify merchants needing custom product options and personalization capabilities. CM emphasizes versatility in field types (text fields, dropdowns, file uploads, etc.) and a focus on gathering data for personalization and order notes. Their promise is no-code accessibility and 24/7 support. DPO Dynamic Product Options, while lacking detailed description beyond categories, boasts a perfect 5/5 rating with a significantly larger number of reviews (290 vs. 49), indicating a more established user base and potentially higher levels of user satisfaction. CM: Custom Fields Personalizer seems positioned towards smaller businesses or individuals who need assistance with setup and require a wide range of field options for collecting customer-specific information and offering customization. DPO, due to the higher review count and implied focus on dynamic options, may be geared towards larger businesses or those with more complex product customization needs, where the collective experiences of a larger user base can provide assurance. Both apps aim to increase conversion rates through offering product personalization and customization. The explicit callout to 24/7 support is a distinguishing factor for CM.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing comprehensive customer support and a wider array of field options – particularly file uploads, image uploads, and order notes – CM: Custom Fields Personalizer presents a compelling solution. The no-code promise will particularly appeal to non-technical users. However, for merchants prioritizing an app with a proven track record and a large, satisfied user base, DPO Dynamic Product Options is the safer bet, even though its specific features are less transparent from the provided data. If you absolutely need robust support and various customization features, start with CM. If you want to try a highly-rated app tested by a larger audience, start with DPO.
The lack of explicit feature details for DPO makes a definitive recommendation challenging. Assuming both apps offer similar core functionality, the user review count heavily favors DPO. However, the specific features outlined in the CM description could be deciding factors for certain merchants, especially those valuing live support or requiring specific field types. Further investigation of DPO's feature set is crucial.
