CN Before & After vs Mobile App Builder ‑ Apptilefor Shopify (2026)
CN Before & After and Mobile App Builder - Apptile are fundamentally different Shopify apps, despite sharing the 'Images and media' category. CN Before & After focuses on enhancing the visual presentation of products directly on the Shopify store by allowing merchants to showcase before-and-after transformations or product feature comparisons through interactive sliders. Its strength lies in its ease of use and visual customization. It aims to help increase conversions by making the value proposition of products instantly clear. Mobile App Builder - Apptile, on the other hand, provides a comprehensive platform for creating native iOS and Android mobile apps for a Shopify store. It leverages AI to simplify app development and offers features such as push notifications and live selling. Apptile caters to merchants seeking a mobile-first strategy, aiming to improve customer engagement, retention, and ultimately, drive more sales through a dedicated mobile app experience. The choice between the two depends entirely on the merchant's goals: direct visual enhancement on the website versus creating a dedicated mobile app.

Our Verdict
If a merchant wants to immediately improve the visual presentation of products on their existing Shopify store to better showcase features and conversions, then CN Before & After is a good choice. It’s likely quick to implement and easy to use. However, with only one review, it’s difficult to have strong confidence. The rating is high, but the sample size is very small.
Mobile App Builder - Apptile is suited for merchants who are serious about mobile commerce and want a branded app for their store. This app requires a larger commitment in terms of time and potentially resources, but it offers the potential for deeper customer engagement and higher conversion rates. Apptile has significantly more reviews, indicating broader adoption and more data points regarding app performance, and a lower risk of implementation.
