CN PDF Viewer vs OnCustomer: Livechat & Chatbotfor Shopify (2026)
CN PDF Viewer and OnCustomer: Livechat & Chatbot, while both categorized under 'Support - Other' in the Shopify app store, offer drastically different functionalities. CN PDF Viewer focuses on enhancing on-site content delivery by allowing merchants to embed and display PDF files directly within their storefront. Its strength lies in providing a seamless, branded experience for customers to access documents like ebooks, manuals, or catalogs, thereby increasing engagement and building trust. In contrast, OnCustomer: Livechat & Chatbot is an omnichannel communication platform aimed at improving customer support and conversion rates. OnCustomer's core value proposition centers around consolidating customer interactions from various channels (Livechat, Messenger, Instagram, etc.) into a single platform, enabling efficient conversation management, automated lead generation, and proactive support through features like SLA monitoring and feedback collection. While CN PDF Viewer caters to merchants seeking to enhance their website's informational content, OnCustomer targets businesses prioritizing comprehensive customer communication and support across multiple touchpoints. The lack of reviews for OnCustomer suggests it's a newer or less established app compared to CN PDF Viewer.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing a simple way to display PDF documents directly on their Shopify store, CN PDF Viewer is the clear choice. Its straightforward functionality and customizable design provide an easy-to-implement solution for enhancing on-site content delivery. However, for businesses focused on building a robust customer support system and managing interactions across multiple communication channels, OnCustomer: Livechat & Chatbot presents a more comprehensive solution, albeit with a potentially steeper learning curve. Given the lack of reviews, proceeding with OnCustomer may require careful consideration and testing. New Shopify stores that are not receiving that many customer queries will be better served with CN PDF Viewer.
Common Questions
What problem does CN PDF Viewer solve that OnCustomer doesn't?
CN PDF Viewer solves the problem of directly embedding and displaying PDF documents on a Shopify store, offering a seamless viewing experience for customers without requiring them to download the files or leave the website. OnCustomer focuses on customer communication and doesn't directly address this need.
Which app is better for improving customer satisfaction?
OnCustomer is specifically designed to improve customer satisfaction through features like omnichannel communication, automated support, and feedback collection. While CN PDF Viewer can indirectly contribute by providing valuable information, OnCustomer is the more direct choice for improving customer satisfaction.
Is OnCustomer difficult to set up and use?
Due to the lack of reviews, it's difficult to definitively assess OnCustomer's ease of use. However, given its multi-channel integration and comprehensive features, it's likely to have a steeper learning curve compared to CN PDF Viewer, which focuses on a single, straightforward function.
Does CN PDF Viewer offer live chat support?
No, CN PDF Viewer focuses solely on PDF embedding and viewing and does not include live chat support functionality. This is the core offering of OnCustomer: Livechat & Chatbot.
Which app is more appropriate for a small, new Shopify store?
CN PDF Viewer is likely more appropriate for a small, new Shopify store. It is simple to implement and provides immediate value by allowing the store to easily share important PDF documents. OnCustomer, with its focus on omnichannel communication, might be overkill for a store with a limited customer base and support needs in its early stages.
