Our Verdict
Choosing between CN PDF Viewer and SWC ‑ Product Save & Sync depends entirely on your specific needs. If your priority is sharing PDF documents directly on your storefront to enhance customer engagement and provide essential information like manuals or catalogs, CN PDF Viewer is likely the better choice. The multiple layouts and styling options can also help create a cohesive branded experience.
However, if your primary concern is data security and the peace of mind that comes with knowing your product information is safely backed up, then SWC ‑ Product Save & Sync is the more suitable option. Though currently unrated, its one-click backup and restore functionality and ability to move products between stores make it an invaluable asset for merchants who regularly update their product listings or are planning a store migration. Merchants just starting out, and with limited tech savviness, may appreciate the implied ease of use.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on descriptions, both apps aim for ease of use. CN PDF Viewer boasts a simple UI, while SWC ‑ Product Save & Sync promotes one-click backups. Without user reviews for SWC, it is impossible to say. CN PDF Viewer is likely slightly easier to integrate into the storefront.
Does CN PDF Viewer offer any data backup features similar to SWC?
No, CN PDF Viewer focuses solely on displaying PDF documents and does not include any product data backup or restore capabilities.
Is SWC ‑ Product Save & Sync only useful when migrating stores?
No, while it simplifies store migration, SWC ‑ Product Save & Sync is also beneficial for safeguarding against data loss due to errors, accidental deletions, or app conflicts. Regular backups offer protection regardless of migration plans.
Which app provides more direct value to the customer?
CN PDF Viewer directly benefits customers by providing easy access to important PDF documents like manuals, catalogs, or ebooks. SWC ‑ Product Save & Sync's value is more indirect, ensuring product information is preserved, which ultimately contributes to a consistent and reliable shopping experience.
If I could only install one app, which would be the best choice for a new store?
For a brand new store with very few products, SWC ‑ Product Save & Sync is probably overkill. CN PDF Viewer may provide immediate value, but only if you have information stored in PDFs to share with your users. A small store may instead want to focus on sales & marketing or customer service apps rather than either of these two.
