CN PDF Viewer vs Vidjet Shoppable Videos +Storyfor Shopify (2026)
CN PDF Viewer and Vidjet Shoppable Videos +Story are both Shopify apps in the Images and Media category, but they cater to drastically different needs. CN PDF Viewer focuses on enabling merchants to embed and display PDF documents directly on their storefront, providing a seamless way for customers to access resources like ebooks, manuals, and catalogs. Its strength lies in its ease of use for displaying downloadable content, offering customizable designs and responsive layouts. Vidjet, on the other hand, empowers merchants to embed videos and web stories without negatively impacting site speed. It provides tools for adding shoppable elements, analyzing performance, and publishing videos at scale, making it suitable for UGC, product showcases, and engaging customer content. The primary difference is their media focus: CN PDF Viewer handles PDFs, while Vidjet handles videos and stories. CN PDF Viewer is ideal for merchants who rely on PDF documentation and want to offer easy access within their store's branding. Vidjet is geared towards merchants leveraging video marketing, user-generated content, and interactive story formats to increase engagement and sales. Vidjet also boasts a significantly larger user base and more reviews, suggesting wider adoption and potentially more robust community support. While both are highly rated, the limited number of reviews for CN PDF Viewer makes it challenging to gauge long-term performance and reliability compared to Vidjet.
