COD: Advanced Cash on Delivery vs Partialy ‑ Partial Payment CODfor Shopify (2026)
Both COD: Advanced Cash on Delivery and Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD aim to reduce Return to Origin (RTO) and improve cash flow for Shopify merchants offering Cash on Delivery. However, they tackle the problem from different angles. COD: Advanced Cash on Delivery focuses primarily on verifying COD orders and charging COD fees to discourage bogus orders, positioning itself as a risk management tool. Partialy, on the other hand, offers a more comprehensive approach by enabling partial payments upfront, essentially mitigating the risk associated with COD altogether and providing flexible payment options to increase sales. COD: Advanced Cash on Delivery appears simpler to use, focusing on SMS/WhatsApp verification and potentially appealing to merchants who want a straightforward solution to filter out unreliable COD orders. Partialy provides a richer feature set for merchants seeking to implement advanced payment strategies like partial payments, BNPL-esque functionality, and custom COD rules, including location-based adjustments and shipping rates. While both have the same number of reviews, Partialy has a slightly higher rating, indicating potentially greater user satisfaction or a narrower, more targeted user base.
