COD ‑ Cash on Delivery for UAE vs COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verifyfor Shopify (2026)
COD ‑ Cash on Delivery for UAE and COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify both aim to optimize Cash on Delivery (COD) options for Shopify merchants, but they take fundamentally different approaches. COD ‑ Cash on Delivery for UAE focuses on flexibility and customization of COD options through rule-based logic, allowing merchants to show, hide, rename, or reorder payment and shipping options based on cart value, product type, location, and more. This positions it as a tool for merchants who need granular control over their COD offerings, particularly within the UAE market but also for global merchants offering COD. COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify, on the other hand, centers around reducing RTO (Return to Origin) and RTS (Return to Sender) rates by verifying COD orders via OTP (One-Time Password) and encouraging upfront or partial payments. Its value proposition lies in filtering out unserious buyers and increasing prepaid conversions through discounts and notifications. This app is designed for merchants experiencing high failed delivery rates and those looking to shift customers towards prepaid options, with explicit support for India and Egypt. The difference is one focuses on order customization while the other prioritizes minimizing losses by verifying customers and encouraging upfront payments.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily operating in the UAE, or globally, who need fine-grained control over how COD is presented based on various conditions, COD ‑ Cash on Delivery for UAE appears to offer a more flexible and customizable solution. However, the lack of any reviews is a serious concern. Merchants should proceed with extreme caution given the lack of social proof.
For merchants struggling with high RTO/RTS rates and fake COD orders, particularly those operating in India or Egypt, COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify is the clear choice. Its focus on verification and upfront payment options directly addresses these pain points, and the significant number of positive reviews provides social proof of its effectiveness. The lack of customization options compared to COD - Cash on Delivery for UAE, is a trade off for the added security features and focus on reducing loss.
