COD Form & Upsell ‑ CodMonster vs Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Feefor Shopify (2026)
COD Form & Upsell ‑ CodMonster and Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Fee represent distinct approaches to managing Cash on Delivery (COD) sales on Shopify. CodMonster focuses on maximizing revenue through customizable COD forms, upsells, cross-sells, and extensive tracking capabilities. Its target audience appears to be merchants looking to actively grow their AOV and optimize marketing spend via multi-pixel tracking. It offers a robust suite of features focused on improving the customer experience and boosting sales directly through the COD form itself. Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Fee, on the other hand, is geared towards mitigating risks associated with COD orders, specifically fraud and RTOs (Return to Origin). It centers on protecting the store from fraudulent activity by limiting or hiding COD options based on order value, weight, customer history, or product category. It offers auto-scoring fraud detection to identify and protect against high-risk orders. The app's value proposition lies in reducing losses and operational costs due to fraudulent COD orders rather than purely focusing on revenue maximization.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with increasing their Average Order Value (AOV) and actively optimizing their marketing campaigns across various platforms, COD Form & Upsell ‑ CodMonster is the more suitable option. Its focus on customizable forms, upsells, and robust tracking offers tools to drive revenue growth. However, the limited number of reviews should be considered.
Conversely, Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Fee is the better choice for merchants facing significant challenges with fraudulent COD orders and high return-to-origin (RTO) rates. Its fraud detection and order restriction capabilities provide a practical solution to minimize losses and protect the store from potentially fraudulent customers. Though the app has a perfect rating, it's based on only one review, which warrants further investigation and consideration of other factors.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the feature sets, Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Fee is likely easier to set up due to its narrower focus on fraud prevention. CodMonster, with its extensive customization and tracking options, may require more configuration.
Can both apps be used together?
Potentially, but it may be redundant and could cause conflicts. If a merchant prioritizes fraud prevention initially and then seeks to optimize AOV, they could consider switching from Snap Cash On Delivery to CodMonster after mitigating fraud risk. Using both simultaneously may create a complex user experience.
Which app offers more comprehensive reporting?
COD Form & Upsell ‑ CodMonster provides more comprehensive reporting with its multi-pixel tracking for Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, and Google, as well as Google Sheets integration. Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Fee does not explicitly mention comprehensive reporting beyond fraud detection.
Which app is better for new Shopify stores?
For a new store without historical data on COD fraud, COD Form & Upsell ‑ CodMonster might be a better initial choice to drive sales and understand customer behavior. If COD fraud becomes a problem, then Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Fee can be implemented to address it.
How important are the number of reviews when deciding between these apps?
The low review counts for both apps are a significant factor. While Snap Cash On Delivery: COD Fee has a perfect rating, it is based on a single review. CodMonster's 15 reviews provide a slightly more reliable indication, but still warrant caution and further research before making a decision. Look for more recent reviews outside the Shopify app store or user testimonials to get a more accurate picture of the app's performance.
