COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs CODFY Cash on Deliveryfor Shopify (2026)
COD King and CODFY are both Shopify apps focused on managing Cash on Delivery (COD) payments, but they cater to different merchant needs. COD King positions itself as a comprehensive solution to reduce Return to Origin (RTO) and Return to Sender (RTS) issues associated with COD by employing OTP verification, upfront partial payments, and COD fees. It primarily targets merchants struggling with fraudulent orders and high return rates, particularly in regions like India and Egypt where COD abuse is prevalent. CODFY, on the other hand, is a more basic tool focusing on controlling COD availability based on order value and location, allowing merchants to restrict COD to specific areas via zip code uploads. Its strength lies in its simplicity and ease of use for merchants who want basic COD management without advanced features like OTP verification or partial payments.

Our Verdict
For merchants grappling with significant RTO losses, fake orders, and COD abuse, COD King is the superior choice. Its OTP verification, partial payment options, and COD fees offer proactive measures to filter unserious buyers and encourage prepaid orders. The high number of reviews suggests a well-established app with proven effectiveness. CODFY is better suited for smaller businesses or those with fewer COD-related issues that require only basic COD restrictions based on order value and location. However, the extremely low number of reviews for CODFY warrants caution; further investigation or a trial period is advisable before committing to this app.
