COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs Ecom | Youtube Card & Galleryfor Shopify (2026)
COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify and Ecom | Youtube Card & Gallery are Shopify apps that cater to vastly different needs and target different types of merchants. COD King focuses on optimizing the checkout process for merchants struggling with Cash on Delivery (COD) issues, specifically aiming to reduce Return to Origin (RTO) and Return to Sender (RTS) rates. It achieves this through OTP verification, upfront or partial payments, and COD fees. In contrast, Ecom | Youtube Card & Gallery is designed to enhance a store's visual appeal and engagement by integrating YouTube content. It helps merchants embed videos, playlists, and subscription cards to increase subscriber count and improve product demos and tutorials. While both apps have a perfect 5/5 rating, the significant difference in the number of reviews (560 vs. 4) suggests that COD King has a much larger user base and a longer track record. Both appear easy to use, promising no-code installation. The shared category of 'Notifications' is misleading, as COD King's notifications focus on order confirmation and payment reminders, while Ecom's notifications are limited to drawing visitor attention to new youtube content. Therefore, they serve entirely different notification purposes.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with high RTO/RTS rates and fake COD orders, particularly in India and Egypt, COD King is the clear choice. Its features are specifically designed to address these issues and improve the profitability of COD transactions. The high number of positive reviews lends credence to its effectiveness. On the other hand, if a merchant has a strong YouTube presence and wants to leverage video content to enhance their store's visual appeal and product demonstrations, Ecom | Youtube Card & Gallery is the more suitable option. However, the extremely low review count should be taken into consideration; further research may be needed to determine its reliability and support quality.
Ultimately, the better app depends entirely on the merchant's specific needs and challenges. If COD is a pain point, COD King is the obvious solution. If the goal is to integrate YouTube content seamlessly, Ecom | Youtube Card & Gallery might be useful, but merchants should proceed with caution due to the limited user feedback.
