COD King‑COD Fees & OTP Verify vs Free Shipping Bearfor Shopify (2026)
COD King and Free Shipping Bear target fundamentally different aspects of e-commerce optimization. COD King focuses on reducing losses associated with Cash on Delivery (COD) orders, primarily through OTP verification, upfront payment options, and COD fees. It aims to filter out unserious buyers and increase prepaid conversions, particularly benefiting merchants in India and Egypt. Free Shipping Bear, on the other hand, aims to increase Average Order Value (AOV) by incentivizing customers to add more items to their cart to qualify for free shipping. It achieves this through a visually prominent cart progress sticky bar, allowing merchants to set multiple cart goals by country. While both apps utilize notifications, COD King uses SMS/WhatsApp for order verification and conversion, while Free Shipping Bear uses a visual bar to constantly update customers on their free shipping eligibility. COD King seems more focused on fraud prevention and secure transactions while Free Shipping Bear focuses on sales growth through increased order size.
